According to to Sport, Liverpool has given FC Barcelona the go ahead to sign Brazilian attacker Philippe Coutinho. It is understood that the 25-year-old is ready to swap Anfield for the Camp Nou.
Barcelona will return in the coming days to seal the operation, on Tuesday or Wednesday, knowing their financial power is unquestionable after receiving 222 million euros.
Coutinho is the exciting signing that Josep Maria Bartomeu promised and he is not willing to let him escape, after the bad experience had with Marco Verratti and PSG.
As the Liverpool boss gone back on his words?
When asked for his thoughts on Coutinho’s future last week, boss Jurgen Klopp said: “Everybody thought ‘he’s going, he’s going, he’s going’ but so far nobody is going.
Barcelona remain confident they will get their man but Liverpool are staying defiant and think they can keep the Brazilian on Merseyside.
Liverpool are concern that Coutinho will push for a move to Barcelona before the end of the transfer window, but the No. 10 has previously stressed his commitment to Reds.
With just over three weeks to go before the end of the transfer window, speculations over Coutinho’s future are farm from ending but it seems as if the player is stuck in a TOW (tug of war).
